Whitewashed Cottage

This Collection makes me want a Whitewashed Cottage of my own. A bit like my niece's Dolls House. Anyway, head out of the clouds, here is the new 3 Sister's 'Whitewashed Cottage' for Moda Fabrics.

- 'Whitewashed Cottage' £12 a metre / £3 a Fat Quarter -

Shown with Grey Essential Dots (£11 a metre) & Baby Pink Plain (£8 a metre)

- A Bundle containing 5 Fat Quarters £14 -

- Jelly Roll £30.99 & Charms available -

I also stock Shabby Chic Linens perfect for chairs & cushions. These Linen Blends (70% Cotton/30% Linen) are the perfect weight for hand sewing projects as the fabric is soft and not as coarse/stiff as some 100% Linens.

- All priced at £16 a metre / £3 a Fat Quarter -

- Payments can be taken via Paypal if you'd like anything posted out to you -

The Great British Sewing Bee

Yes, the new series is now on (BBC2 Thursday's @ 8pm). It was great to see the contestants making and creating with such passion. The highs and lows you go though whilst creating a garment are all very normal and reassuring to see on TV. I've had to tell myself many a time that you get better through practise and the frustrations you experience (and unpicking) are all part of the journey you go through to get the end result, an item of tailor made clothing.

The theme for this months window has to be the "Great British Sewing Bee". I'm a proud stockist of Tilly Walnes Dress Patterns. Tilly was a contestant on the first series of the Great British Sewing Bee. The Tilly & The Buttons patterns are well illustrated with full instructions and colour photos, they are a joy to use.

- The Francoise Dress Pattern -
(£12.50 per pattern)

- My Francoise Dress made using 'The Best Day Ever' Moda fabric -

- Miette Wrap Skirt, no buttons or zips -

- Made using a Denim Linen Chambray -
 (awaiting fabric delivery)

- My Mathilde Top using Cherry Fabric -

I learnt so much from these patterns and Tilly has additional photos on her blog Tilly and The Buttons.

The Francoise Dress, Miette Skirt & Mathilde Top are a lovely collection to add to your Springtime Wardrobe. So, with the Great British Sewing Bee on now is a perfect time to start Dressmaking.
