Halloween

Halloween is nearly here. To celebrate it's all Skulls & Witches in the Shop.

I made Halloween Bunting from the selection of fabrics in the Shop. The Skull Quilted Wall Hanging was fun to make, who says you can't add Skulls to a Quilt.

The Victorian Family Fayre

I had a wonderful day on Sunday, the Victorian Family Fayre took place in Louth. Shop Owners & Stall Holders got into the spirit of the Event and dressed up Victorian style. I improvised with a black dress & a black skirt sewn to the bottom. I think it's years of finding clothes for the children's school events. There's nothing like a "World Book Day" to have you scouring the wardrobes!! I managed to get my hands on the Vintage Apron at at my last Craft Event at the Memorial Hall in Cleethorpes.

Thanks to everyone who called in to my little shop in New Street, it was a lovely to meet you. So many people visit Louth for this Event. It's great to be part of it. The Louth Town Partnership & Love Louth have worked really hard, they should be very proud, it was a great success.

Naomi of Little Bits of Louth. Naomi & I started on Louth Market the same day, a year ago this month.

Cathy & Brian both looking the part. They have a unit in the Indoor Market Hall. All the units are now full, it has a great atmosphere with so many unique shops.

There will be 10% off Fabrics in my Autumn Sale on Saturday 18th October. A great opportunity to buy fabrics for your Handmade Christmas Gifts. I'll also be Open 10-2pm for the Victorian Family Fayre on Sunday 19th October. A great Day out, it's well worth visiting Louth for this Event.

The Hall of Fame winner was picked by Sheila from Serendipity in Louth. Denise Inkson made a Pram Quilt, she was the lucky winner of 3 Christmas Fat Quarters.

We'll be making a start on Christmas Projects in the next couple of weeks. I now stock Wool Blend Felt. Felt is so forgiving and is very easy to work with. If you're new to Sewing, Felt Craft Projects are a great place to start. I have a great selection of colours, photos to follow.

Autumn Scene

I love the change in seasons, the different routines it brings. The cold wet weather is on it's way & it's time for Coal Fires burning with marshmallows. It's a time were we can start our sewing projects, especially if they're for Christmas.

My Autumn Window shows the beautiful MoMo - Avant Garden designed for Moda. The Bunting has little Felt & Fabric leaves in-between the Flags. Wool Blend Felt will be in stock this week. It's so nice to work with and very forgiving too.

Wool Felt has also been used to make these adorable Animal Softies. You can buy the Patterns & Kits from Alicia Paulson

The Toadstools have been made by Four J Creations & are available to purchase as well as this Autumn Cushion from Fox Hollies. Louise has used felt to applique on the Cushion

I've made this Cafetier & Mug Cosy Set & Quilted Coasters using the Linen Blend I stock. I've appliqued Flowers on them too. Make the Coasters at my "Sew Now" sessions, they'll make a lovely Christmas Gift

A Fox Hollies Quilt & Cushion available to purchase with Cowslip framing the Window

I hope this Window inspires you to Sew.

If you want to make a start, get in touch & book on a session. We'll work on basic Hand Sewing Projects & move onto cushions & quilts. Sessions are on Tuesday & Saturday 1pm - 3pm & Thursday 10am - 12pm.
