Needles & Threads

Thank you to everyone who attended the Demo Day with Dawn yesterday. I thoroughly enjoyed her visit. The Demo she delivered was so informative and explained in a way that makes sense. Dawn explained the importance of using a Quality Thread for all your Sewing Projects. Mettler Thread in a 60 weight is recommended for piecing your Quilt as there's less bulk at the seams which works wonderfully when working on a Dresden Plate for example. I stock these Threads in the Shop. 60 weight Cream & Grey are the recommended colours, Dawn also uses these to Quilt with.

The right Machine Needles are also Essential. Schmetz are the best Needles out there. I will be stocking these in the Shop soon. Jean/Denim Needles or Sharps are recommended. The Universal Needles out there are not ideal. You need the right Needle for the Project you're working on. Also, get to know you're Sewing Machine. I must admit I only use a few stitches and don't replace the Needle as often as I should. Dawn has definitely educated me with her Demo. She also sells a Pocket Tutor Book that is well presented and has doodle pages to add your own notes too. An Essential Book for Sewers.

It was great to meet everyone who attended the Event. If any of you would like to book Dawn to visit their Group you can contact her via her website www.dawncamerondick.com

I was lucky enough to hear Dawn's Demo 3 times and I could have easily listened to a 4th. Unfortunately because I was so engrossed I forgot to take photos of the ladies!! I did managed to sneak one in before she left. Thanks again Dawn - Helen -

Louth is such a Traditional Market Town. It's a great place to visit. My London relatives think it's like going back in time when they visit here. It has a slower pace, people are friendly to each other. You can leave your bike outside a Shop and it's still there!

There's Louth Museum to visit, Hubbards Hills for Picnics and Family Fun of course the lovely selection of Cafes & Shops available too.

- New Street -

- Eastgate -

- St James Church -

So why not visit Louth in Lincolnshire on Vintage Day and visit my Shop too. I'll be Open from 11.30am onwards. I'm looking forward to meeting you soon

Family

I hope you've all had a great weekend. I've been busy working on my Quilt for the next Window Display. I'm using the Mettler Multi Thread. It's the first time I've used this thread and the quality and effects are second to none. I'm only ever going to use this thread from now on. It's so smooth on my machine.

Exciting News * I have Dawn Cameron-Dick visiting the Shop for a Demo Day on Thursday 26th June. I'll be adding all the information this week *

Look at these Multi Colours

On a different note I'll be Opening the Shop slightly later on Friday 6th June. The Little Fabric Store will be Open 12pm - 5pm. This is due to my youngest son's Sports Day, his last in his Junior School Year. I'll also be Closing early on Thursday 12th June 9.30am - 1pm as it's Nathan's End of School Play.

As I'm running the Shop on my own I've had to change the Opening hours on these days. Nathan had a talk with me last night, he's been feeling left out since I opened my Shop. It didn't half pull on my little heart strings. It's the internal battle us mum's have at times. So, I've never missed any of his School Events and I hope you understand why I'm putting my Family first on these dates too.

My husband Dan has been amazing throughout my Business Venture

- I couldn't have done this without them routing for me -

- A big "Thank You" to all my customers for your understanding & continued support -
