My first Craft Fair

I had a great day at Cleethorpes Memorial Hall on Sunday. I met some wonderful people who had stalls there and new customers. Thanks to everyone who bought from my stall. It was great to talk to you and find out what sewing projects you have going on. Also a big thanks to all my family & friends who supported me at my first event.

I'll be adding fabrics I have available on my Etsy/Folksy sites during the week, so please keep dropping in to have a look. Please feel free to let me know what sewing projects you're working on at the moment. I'd love to hear from you.

Also, if like me, you're missing the Great British Sewing Bee I have a link to Tilly's blog. I was following her before she went on the show. Tilly has an update on Lauren's Haberdashery Shop Opening Day and interviews with some of the contestants.

Opening Day

I officially opened my little shop on Saturday. I've been making a few Kindle covers for my craft stall and adding them to my Folksy shop

I've also started adding fabrics available on my Etsy shop. I will add more throughout the week. Here's a preview of fabrics I'll have available on my stall on Sunday.

I'd like to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who's supported me by passing on details of my website & face book page. I've had an amazing response and I couldn't have done this without your help.

Fabrics

I've displayed a few fabrics that will be available from Saturday 20th April. My fabric has been arriving and I've been pre cutting in preparation for the official start date of my business. I'll be attending a local Craft Fair at Cleethorpes Memorial Hall, NE Lincs. This will be a great way to see my customers and spread the news.

New Beginnings

Welcome to my blog. This is a very exciting time for me. After having the idea to sell some wonderful fabrics within my local area of North East Lincolnshire and online, my dream has finally become a reality.

My journey began after being made redundant. This made me think about taking a different career path. I started sewing a year and a half ago. I bought a sewing machine with no idea how to use it. After many determined & frustrating hours I made my first bag. After joining a quilting course I fell in love with making and creating things for my home and family.

My little shop will be open on 20th April. I'll be adding lists of fabrics to my site in preparation.

I've made these lovely pincushions/home decorations from the Flora range designed by Lauren & Jessi Jung. With it's English Country Garden theme, this Spring collection highlights small, colourful, delicate flowers.

Please feel free to send a comment. I'd love to hear from you. Thanks for visiting.
